Eagerly awaited by connoisseurs and professionals, or anyone who likes the idea of trying out new beers or following the last 30 years of Italian wine history, glass in hand: Meetings with the Makers events are held in a salon in the heart of the Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre, where you will be welcomed with delicious tastings and delightful stories, anecdotes and confessions from great figures from the international food and wine world.
Ten appointments, in an intimate atmosphere, to entertain and inspire. You’ll meet militant vine-grower Richard Leroy, one of the world’s best Chenin producers; Claudia and Lydia Bourguignon, wandering agronomists working to defend the soil; importer Nicola Sarzi Amadé, who has brought the best of French wine to Italy; and many other fascinating characters with their own stories to tell.
The Makers:
In addition to Richard Leroy, Claude and Lydia Bourguignon and Nicola Sarzi Amadé, we’ll also have Jean-Pierre Amoreau from Château Le Puy; Federico Curtaz, a witness to 30 years of Italian wine history; Kuaska, Italian artisanal beer guru; the man who symbolizes heritage Bitto, Paolo Ciapparelli, with cheesemaker Giuseppe Giovannoni; Leonardo Di Vincenzo of Birra del Borgo; Beppe “Citrico” Rinaldi, a reference point for Barolo in the Langhe; and Josko Gravner, a leading figure in Friulian (and Italian) wine.
Simultaneous translation will be provided into Italian and English.Booking is essential for Meetings with the Makers events.
